In this review I will not address the content of the book as I doubt most shoppers are purchasing this for any other reason than it was selected by their program for their "mother/baby" section.The product came wrapped in plastic and new as described with an intact, working DavisPlus code. It included both the text and companion book that are required for my course. I was pleased that the books were not stickered or damaged like I have received in the past. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my purchase at well below the price of the college bookstore.
This is a POOR excuse for an edited TEXTBOOK!!. There was a time when I used to think that anything you see in print was so, or came close enough to be "so". Well not so with this "textbook"!! Spelling errors and CONTRADICTIONS up the WHAZOOO!! and many on the same page!! Even given the changing values such as what's normal lab values, and even with the understanding that there are small differences between texts, this book leaves a nursing student unsure of what to "take to the bank" . Long and short of it is that all semester long I've been reading this book and over time taking more and more of it with a grain of salt, which ultimately spells NO CONFIDENCE in this piece of work! ( I'm so frustrated, but I'll keep my comments clean!) To the author, editor, and publishers : This book needs to go back to the drawing board, it is just not ready for primetime!
I was expecting to get two books and I only got one. And it was the shorter book that is much less helpful to me than the actual textbook.
I am so happy I found this on Amazon! My school bookstore was over double this price! The brand new version came with the Davis Plus Access Code and the Companion book that was required by my professor. Very happy with my purchase!

Do not order from apex_media. States companion book comes with it, it doesnt also very poor book quality.
Book delivered on time. As described. Definitely not my favorite book though. Some things are very controversial and not straight forward in it. I can even say confusing, so after the first 2-3 lectures I relied on the power points that were provided for us.
